I have not blogged in awhile. I am obsessed with getting all of my photos (1000’s that were left behind in the migration) re-uploaded into my blog. This seems to take up all of my blogging time. But this post is just too fun not to share today! It is Friday, and my girls just really brought a smile to my face and a laugh to my day. So, I thought I should share this with you – A Fun Friday post to make you smile!
If you follow me on Instagram you may have realized that I am participating in a photo-a-day challenge with Brit Mums. Yes, I know I am not a Brit, but I love their blog! Check it out at BritMums. Yesterday’s theme was Walking. Skimming through my photos I realized I had this cute video of taking our dog, Lucy, on a walk through the quaint town of Carmel-by-the-Sea. Carmel loves their dogs and as we walked through a neighborhood, we found a sign reading “Doggie Treats” sitting next to bowls of water and doggie treats. Well of course Lucy made a beeline straight to the treats. This would be the perfect photo – well, video – for Walking! I edited to 8 seconds and added the background music of U2’s Beautiful Day.
So this was yesterday’s Instagram post:
My daughters living across the country – Chicago, Boulder, Aspen – saw Lucy, and they decided that they need to get in on the action. This is what they sent me this morning:
Well, they sent me three separate videos via text message – I put them together as one. I also added U2’s Beautiful Day, Alyssa already had her music included.
Totally fun, totally cute, and it really brought a smile to my face.
The fact that the girls all live away from each other – two in college and one working – and they still spend the time connecting, talking, and playing (via technology) absolutely warms my heart.
So happy Friday from three of my girls and myself. I hope this brings a smile to your face.
Loved it! A big smile on my face. Love your girls!!!
Thanks, Renie! It really made me smile when I got their text. So funny!
Your daughters seem pretty fun and goofy! Happy Friday!
Thank you! Yes, they are.
