I don’t have any black walls in my home, yet. But my friend Nusheen does, and they are stunning. She painted two walls in her guest bathroom with Benjamin Moore Onyx in an eggshell finish. When you walk into the bathroom you immediately see the black wall – it truly is a statement color. The wall behind the toilet (set in an alcove) is also black. The two black walls are balanced with four “beige” walls. I love the dramatic flair the black adds to the room!
The black walls are a perfect backdrop for the art in the room.
Looking at Nusheen’s black walls, I have two walls in my home that I think would work well painted black; one in the boys’ bedroom and one in the guest room/den. Hmmm… This is something I might be adding to my summer to-do list.
