There is nothing like trying to squish some training time into my already jam-packed schedule! Well, here it goes! I signed up with my husband and stepson to train for an olympic triathlon with Team in Training. Yep, that means training for an endurance event and fundraising for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Can you say stress? Breathe. That’s what I keep reminding myself. Just breathe. Well, we officially started training, and to accompany my training I have started a vlog. What’s a vlog you ask? A vlog is a video blog. Yep. I just thought I needed something new to try 🙂 Don’t ask. Anyways, I have posted two vlogs already on my YouTube channel (Positively Stacey). I have a lot to learn about this vlogging business. But I am definitely having fun trying my hand at video editing. Yes, my videos are a bit rough, but I do hope that with practice they will get better each time. I am learning something new about the process with every attempt.
I mentioned on my last vlog that I would be posting my training schedule each week. So here is the schedule for this upcoming week. Olympic Triathlon Training Schedule for Week 2Monday: Swim −30 minutes @ level 1
Tuesday: Coached Track Wednesday: Swim 30 minutes @ level 1 Thursday: Bike – 45 minutes @ level 1 Friday: Rest Day Saturday: Coached Swim and Bike Sunday: Run 30 minutes @ level 1/2 Intensity Levels: I plan on posting these each Monday for the following week. On my vlog you will hear how well or not-so-well I accomplished my plan.
