Yes, summer is wrapping up. Heading into the stores you see all of the Back-to-School sales. And yes, I am back in the classroom teaching in a matter of days. But summer is not over yet! Kids are still enjoying summer vacation, the sun is still shining bright and hot, and there is no homework on today’s agenda. So while many people are getting caught up in the back-to-school frenzy – I’m declaring a “Let’s Chill – It’s Still Summer” Party. Really – I’m still enjoying every little bit of summer vacation that I can.
So off to Safeway I headed and bought lots of ice cream – perfect for a Let’s Chill Party. A mix of decadent Magnum Double Chocolate, Fruttare Mango, and Sugar-Free Klondike Vanilla. Something for the adults, kids, and those trying to cut back on sugar. A great mix of easy to enjoy – ready to serve ice creams along with Breyers All Natural Vanilla and assorted toppings for those that want to make up their own ice cream creation. Oh, and some nice Cold Crew Lipton Tea – sounds perfect for a Let’s Chill Party.
But we are not stopping at snacks alone – no! The pool is open but let’s add some more fun! Water fun that is. Giant super soakers, assorted squirt guns, large bubbles, and even some sidewalk chalk add to the summer fun. Because… it is still summer!
This is one of the easiest parties to put together, and your kids, their friends, and your neighbors will think you are the coolest for this one! While they are all busy getting ready for back-to-school – you are finding time to just chill and celebrate what few days are left of summer!
We love Breyers Natural Vanilla and look at my cute ice cream bowls. Aren’t they just adorable? With all of these yummy toppings you cannot go wrong!
But then again these Magnum Double Chocolate bars are to die for delicious! Incredibly decadent!
Even though we are still enjoying summer and chilling out in the sun, I do know that school is starting soon. This is the perfect time to stock up on essentials and shop for those end of summer festivities. Albertsons is celebrating their 76th Anniversary with a HUGE sale (7/29-8/11). So invite your friend and neighbors over. Head to Safeway (or Albertsons) and stock up on party essentials! They have everything you need!
After all – Summer is meant for fun!

You are right about that! One of the biggest ice cream fans in my family is my dad! Ice cream is his forte.

What a great idea that bucket of water play toys is! Makes me want to go out and play with my kids by the pool right now.
The kids always have fun in the pool- the water toys just add an extra fun level of play.
